Are you aware that over 50% of the Nigerian cement consumer market is in the South Eastern part of Nigeria? Not Lagos or Abuja.

Are you aware that the former efulefu governor of Ebonyi state, for 8 years under the influence of his masters, denied Ibeto right of way to take over, revamp, operate, massively expand and run the Nkalagu cement factory?

Are you aware that there are huge limestone, gypsum and surface coal deposits in the SE of Nigeria?

Thank God for the wonderful Dave Umahi, the current God fearing and God sent governor of Ebonyi state, Ibeto will soon take over that market.

Please help me  tell Nigeria, the efulefu kumbaya Igbos and their fuedal lords that Onye ji ala ji onwe ya.

1. Tell them to amend the Railway Act of 1955 to allow for the concessioning and commercialiszation of the Nigerian existing and potential rail assets and routes.

2. Tell them to Dredge the Niger River appriopriately and the Azumini Blue River to allow bigger tonner vessels and barges to access Onitsha and Aba hinterlands. They should do inland ports in Onitsha and Aba and concession it to credible operators so that we can berth and clear our containers in Onitsha and Aba.

3. Tell them to allow UK, US, Chinese and other European and Asian countries embassies to maintain visa issuance consulate offices in Enugu.

4. Tell them to expand more the Enugu airport, instal night landing facilities and other aviation infrastructure as we have it in Lagos and Abuja there.

5. Tell them to allow resource control, fiscal federalism, more autonomous constituent units and only 20% fiscal revenue allocation to the center.

If they allow all these little things that will not cost them anything, I shall lead the mass movement to cry for one Nigeria.

Only the ignorant and efulefu Igbos do not understand and appreciate that we are under siege by our haters both within and without

  1. Many thanks Ohams for this Post which I consider long overdue. The Cement industry (..along with the Flour/Feed/Rice milling and Food processing industries) are some of the most strategic, which is why a few years back, I did a number of Posts drawing the attention of our people esp the S.E Governors to the enormous loss Ndigbo was suffering because of the absence of these in Igboland. Many people may not know or remember that the first bag of cement in Nigeria was made in the '60s at that same Nkalagu Cement factory. Chairman of the company was Sir Odumegwu Ojukwu. And that the major Cement Haulage company at the time was the ubiquitous Oruche Transport… (something like today's Dangote Transport). I saw all these with my eyes as a small boy. On many occasions, I have imagined the level of development Igboland would have attained were it not trapped in this mess of a country. This ill-fated Contraption has really dragged/held down Ndigbo. But like the saying goes, it's better late than never. Ohams

  2. After Katrina, in New Orleans the State of Louisiana began tax free shopping to attract tourist back to the State. Lesson: VAT belongs to the state who may decide to wave it to stimulate development. In Nigeria, FIRS collects VAT and shared in Abuja. Just leaving New Orleans for the U.K. and I can tell you all my VAT shopping was refunded to the last dollar. Federalism at work I support #RestructureNigeriaNow

  3. It is an incontrovertible fact. Ask the business development officers of the major cement producers and sellers in Nigeria . Ask your bankers . How many people even build like ndi igbo. Millions of diaspora Igbos build houses in Igboland

  4. Sure. Igbo men/youths who sojourn in foreign lands and are doing well always priotise erecting a structure in their home towns. In fact, it is a competition. A well to do or an okay living Igbo man wants to build a house in his home town

  5. My brother you are always a critical thinker and on point. To colloborate you, one of the major importers of Tiles in Nigeria who happens to be your brother from Okigwe once told me that over 70% of his tiles are sold in the South East. Some efulefus join others to say that Igbos are developing other places except Igbo land without any statistical basis. Very happy to hear that Ibeto will take over Nkalagu Cement factory. You have by this post healed me this malaria self

  6. both Ibeto , Dangote and BUA guy were all doing rebag of cement in Nigeria before Obasanjo handed over the FGN holding in the Benue Cement Company , BCC to Dangote in 2002/2003. I was privy to the transaction and had a mentor who made massive wealth from that transaction . The handover of BCC, National Salts and other FGN assets to Dangote by Obasanjo led to a massive turn around in his business fortune . Go and check the records , as at 2001/2002 , Aliko s total net worth , that is assets minus liabilities were not more than $100m .

Note also that Ibeto started cement business and rebagging before any of them . Ibeto in order to take his business to the next level , when they tried to use the Federal might to destroy his business (through craftily designed , structured and tailored obnoxious policies ) decided to acquire the Nkalagu cement plant to enable him produce here in Nigeria . They nearly crippled him . The guy even had mild health issues because of this government driven frustrations . Many bank CEO's were blackmailed not to avail him any credit facility . Even after acquisition of the Nkalagu cement factory , owned by the government of the old eastern Nigeria , the sweat of Ndi Igbo, was prevented from taking possession of the assets by the past governor of ebonyi state , working on the instructions of his masters . If not for late President Yar Adua (God bless his lovely soul ),who was so gracious to loosen some of the obstacles they laid on Ibetos business path, the guy would have long been out of business .

Also note that a majority of the mega cement distributors in the south east are Nnewi and Anambra people .

But kudos to governor Dave Umahi ,who has lifted the yokes placed on Ibeto by the feudal lords . The past governor even dethroned many traditional rulers of Nkalagu , who opposed his wicked efulefu antics .

With the latest development , Ibeto has lined up multi-billion dollar investments to revamp the place . Jobs shall be created and the limestone plus coal deposit of ala Igbo fully developed . Many other distributors shall be created . Once the oligarchs allow us to dredge the Niger and Azumini blue River , we shall start exporting seamlessly from the ports in Onitsha and Aba once put in place.

Kindly also note that most of the dollar billionaires you see in the land today are also fronts for some of the loots we are all searching for . So let us know the truth , apply it and get our freedom . Thank you
